Testing site results how long?

DD is a close contact to a positive case at school (she’s 7), she doesn’t have to isolate but I am isolating until results come in as a precaution. No symptoms at all.

This is her 4th test in 10 days and her 3rd lot of isolation in the same period (one test was an LFT outside the hospital before an appointment – the first PCR was also due to close contact at holiday club, she isolated until going back to school, came back invalid so tested again and isolated) so I’m keen to get back to normal asap.

I’m a single parent and panicking if she’s positive how I’ll cope both financially and feeding her as I have limited storage for food (I will manage this is not a begging thread, ExH and I are both double vaccinated so I’d cope, I just have anxiety and like to plan).

Neither of my parents are vaccinated and neither of them will test and isolate (their choice) but I will not be complicit in that so I’ll tell T+T and then ask them to stay away for 10 days so no help there.

The first PCR 10 days ago took about 15 hours to come back, the second one took a bit longer I think about 24 hours, times before that have been between 24 and 36 hours (all DDs tests as I wfh but can’t with a 6 year old due to the nature of my work)

So is there a chance our isolation will be lifted by this time tomorrow?

West Midlands area (not WM county) if any help

Is it the school saying she needs a negative test result before returning, otherwise if she hasn’t got any symptoms I would stick to doing LFT tests instead.

School said negative PCR before she can return yes.

When I rang 119 they said she needed a PCR anyway as she's close contact without a vaccine.
