What day am I on ?

I am getting really confused what day I am on . When I read about covid it says things could get worse around day 5/6 .

I was at a meal on fri and sat next to someone who then took a pcr on Sunday and was positive .
I took pcr on Tuesday positive result Tuesday night . So this is day 4 according to app as the 3 full day of isolation but is really day 7 in the covid timeline and I am likely to be past peak ? . Thanks for any explanation 😷

I had a similar scenario having caught Covid from a dinner party guest on a Saturday. I started symptoms on the Monday and tested positive on pcr on Wednesday. Interestingly LFT didn’t show positive until Thursday. T&T said the day symptoms starts is Day 0 and to isolate until Day 10 (ie 11 days)

Day 0 would be the day your symptoms started, or the day you got a positive test (either LF or PCR) if you're asymptomatic.

If you didn’t have any symptoms, then PCR test day is day 0, so today is day 4.

The only symptom I've had is a headache, since Friday. I tested positive on LFT on Sunday & PCR on Monday. I have no idea when my isolation starts. I haven't been contacted by test & trace
