Anyone had third Pfizer (boostervaccine - side effects?

I had a booster vaccine on weds and woke in the night with awful muscle pain in both legs and arms, a really sore upper arm where the vaccine was give and I felt sick and dizzy and hot. I wasn’t expecting to feel much of anything as had hardly any side effects after the first two. Has anyone else felt much worse after their booster then the did. after the others? I’m relieved to have some extra protection but just didn’t expect to feel so awful. I’m just starting to feel better now but my legs are still aching.

I had mine on Wed night and last night kept waking up drenched in sweat, it's not happened during the day so hopefully that's the last of it. My arm hasn't hurt as much this time but the nurse told me to keep moving my arm as that would help and it has. It hardly hurts at all now whereas before it was still very painful 5 days later. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I had mine yesterday and I am bone tired 😴

itsmschanandlerbong · 05/11/2021 21:19

I had mine two weeks ago, the following day I felt a bit aches and my arm was sore but that was all.

DoucheCanoe · 05/11/2021 21:26

I had mine last month, was shattered for about a week but fine otherwise.

Northernsoullover · 05/11/2021 21:30

I had mine and had no side effects. Around a week later I had pains in my muscles. Not like when you have exercised type pain but stabbing pains.
Very bizarre. I don't know if it was linked at all. I am menopausal though and I'm getting all sorts of weird aches and pains.

I had a splitting headache for a fortnight, and really achey calves?? I wasn't sure if it was the booster, the flu jab I had at the same time or the covid I apparently contracted 19 days laterConfused

aaahshoot · 05/11/2021 21:33

That should say 10 days later

UnfinishedBunting · 05/11/2021 21:33

I had mine a couple of weeks ago - I only had a sore arm the next day.

AliceAldridge · 05/11/2021 21:35

My DM has had these symptoms after her booster vaccine, and has been very poorly. She had AZ for the first two jabs and also had this reaction to the first AZ.

Kummerspeck · 05/11/2021 21:36

I had mine 2 weeks ago and had nothing at all, not even an achey arm

Greenhillfaraway · 05/11/2021 21:41

Had mine yesterday. I have been freezing most of today. My arm is tender and red but that normally happens when I get injections.

dudsville · 05/11/2021 22:00

I never get any side effects but within an hour if the booster I was floored with exhaustion and feeling like I wascoming down with something. I spent the next day on the sofa then was just fine after that.

RachC2021 · 05/11/2021 22:40

I had Pfizer all three times. Reacted the same way the first two — huge red rash on arm (not raised or itchy), sore arm for a week or so. Third one I barely had any reaction to at all. Small red mark, and sore arm only for 24 hours.

Mindymomo · 06/11/2021 07:09

DH had his booster, a third Pfizer and had same symptoms as the first 2, sore arm and really tired for a couple of days.

Oblomov21 · 06/11/2021 07:13

I had mine, none at all, although my arm was slightly more tender than 1 or 2.

SpookyScarySkeletons · 06/11/2021 07:20

OP did you have covid at any point between 2nd jab and booster?

My DSis had it between her first and second jab and said the second jab absolutely floored her. It was like having covid all over again!

SierraJulietGolf · 06/11/2021 08:08

Thanks everyone. I’d read that side effects after booster seem to be pretty much the same as after the second dose but for me that definitely wasn’t the case.

Spooky. As far as I know I’ve not had covid at any time unless it was asymptomatically.

There is a real mix of responses by the look of it.

Dudsville. That’s a bit how DP was. We went out for the afternoon after the booster. I felt absolutely fine but within a few hours DP was a bit dizzy and a bit nauseous and looked very pale. He was tired next day but still doing his usual things. I was totally ok till I woke around 3 am with muscle pain especially in my calves and feeling generally unwell .
