Is this long covid/post viral fatigue?

I had covid 6 weeks ago and still feel totally wiped out. It’s driving me nuts.

I used to be able to walk miles, now I’m lucky to be able to walk around the block (about 15 mins) without the real need to sit down as my legs just give up. I tried a little bit of weeding at the weekend and I am still paying for it.

Chest etc is ok and I finally can smell/taste stuff. Tbh reading on here I got off lightly, but it’s just this lingering fatigue. Tiredness is in my bones if that makes sense? I’m perfectly ok until I do anything remotely physical.

I am taking high dose vit D as I’m deficient anyway, and going to get magnesium & zinc to see if they help any.

Anything else I can do? At what point do I see a doc? I read it can take up to 12weeks or so, so I guess I’m over the half way mark!

I had covid almost five weeks ago. I went back to work after my 10 days and was just exhausted by the end of the day and had to go to bed after school. Then it was half term and I slept most of it, I worked out I could do one thing a day eg go to Tesco, strim the lawn and that was it. On Monday I was far to tired/ill to go to work, I rang the surgery at 8 for emergency appointments. The preamble aswer message told me to ring 111 which I did. 111 then told me they would make an appointment at my surgery that day, which they did. I have been dignosed with post viral fatigue and a secondary bacterial chest infection, which I have antibiotics for. I was told to take the week off, bloods tomorrow, follow up check up on Friday. Sorry that was long but I recommend you get in touch with either 111 or your GP sharpish. Good luck. Oh and apparently they cannot diagnose long term covid until after 12 weeks.
