LFT linespot

I'm feeling a bit off colour aching, sore throat and slight headache.

I have just done a LFT and I don't know if it's my eyes but I can see a faint line on the test.

It doesn't seem to pick up well on pictures but am I going nuts.

Has that test been left to develop for the full amount of time? The pinky background suggests that it hasn't finished developing yet or that it was flooded (too much liquid dropped in).

Either way, it should clear eventually and you should be able to see whether there's a line or not then. But probably best to just do another LFT.

I'm in a confusing situation with my DD at the moment. Symptoms and clear positive LFT on Saturday but PCR taken the same day was negative. Did another LFT on the Sunday and it looked like yours with pink smudging and a dot where the test line would be. Left it to dry for a couple of hours and a test line did appear faintly, but well past the reading time. Subsequent LFTs have been clear negatives but have taken her for a 2nd PCR today just to make sure we're not missing anything.

I'll attach a pic showing the one she did that looked like yours... although I really should have thrown it away as soon as the time was up!

It had been left about 25 minutes. I've done another one that is definitely clear.
I've not felt right for a few days. Sneezing yesterday, woke in the early hours today with a sore throat, I ache, am shivery and my head is achy. I've just had the cold that was doing the rounds that everyone thought was covid. I can't be doing with feeling rough again.

I can see a definite line on yours though.

Your 2nd test does look clear. But as you have some symptoms and have had a suspect LFT result you would be perfectly justified in getting a PCR done, for peace of mind. You should probably isolate whilst awaiting results though, which I know is a pain.
Have you checked your temperature? Aching and shivering suggests you have one or at least feel feverish so you should probably get a PCR done anyway.

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 13:17

Maybe not clear after all!

Your second test has a line in both pics of it.

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 13:21

I'm going to make the kids test when they're home and book PCR

DavidDevantsSpiritWife · 02/11/2021 13:24

The second one looks positive to me. Mine was so faint DH swore blind it was negative but it wasn't!

Budapestdreams · 02/11/2021 13:30

That's a positive LFT result.

Budapestdreams · 02/11/2021 13:31

It'll probably be a much stronger line tomorrow. Glad you've booked a PCR.

Blueskip · 02/11/2021 13:32

Looks positive to me. My DDs was like this and then much darker and stronger the next day.

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 13:32

I'm gutted. I'm double vaxxed and hoped I'd escape it. But obviously not. Kids have gone to school complaining of sore throats.

Eeek yes, clear (faint) lines on them both now! You're supposed to discard them after the lime limit is up as results after that time supposedly don't mean anything. But in my experience negative tests stay negative even if left for days! I would consider calling your DC out of school as they have sore throats and you are most likely positive.
Fingers crossed you'll be feeling ok though x

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 13:49

I was wondering if I should get them out of school but I'll be on my way to pick them up very shortly.

All look positive to me. Sorry!

Neena86 · 02/11/2021 14:13

I had 6 like that but 3 negative PCR!! With symptoms too. Was last week and in the Midlands so not part of the testing fiasco.

saltontoast · 02/11/2021 14:34

Definitely looks positive, hope you're okay OP x

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 14:56

PCR test is booked for a couple of hours time.

I've only just had the cold that isn't covid so I highly doubt it's another cold 😫

My face is now burning up and I feel odd.

Tested the kids when I got home. One is undeniably positive the other looks negative.

bloodyhoodedeyes · 02/11/2021 20:13

How are you feeling? I'm in a house of positive tested humans and still testing negative but feeling utterly rubbish so isolated anyway to be safe.

I think I'm fighting off the virus or a cold as I'm all hot and cold and feeling really exhausted, it's really worrying all of this testing and waiting, hope you are ok.

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 20:34

I'm feeling shivery but warm to touch, my throat feels like it's closing up. I ache all over, glands are swollen and I'm utterly knackered but can't settle enough to sleep.

OP posts:
Budapestdreams · 02/11/2021 20:49

Paracetamol is good to help you sleep. I take most of my allowed doses throughout the night.
Hope you all feel better soon.

reddevilunited · 02/11/2021 20:54

I took some about 7pm. I can't say they've had much effect. DS seems quite chirpy so far which I'm pleased about

OP posts:
reddevilunited · 03/11/2021 08:59

Both myself and DS tested positive on PCR tests ☹️

OP posts:
saltontoast · 03/11/2021 09:02

Oh no, sorry OP. How are you feeling? Do you have any support with getting shopping etc x

reddevilunited · 03/11/2021 09:20

DS13 seems ok. A bit sneezy, shivery and cold. He can't taste all that well.

I feel fluey. I'm hoping this is the worst I feel.
