I ordered my ds a pcr test and sent it off this morning. How long should I expect to get results? Tia

We sent off tests yesterday morning and 2 out of the 3 tests are already back. I think they aim for next day, but it might differ regionally. Have you tracked them on the RM website to see when they arrived?

CaptainMyCaptain · 02/11/2021 13:31

I ordered mine on Saturday morning and it was delivered on Sunday at 8.45 am. I got the, thankfully negative result, at about 8.30 Monday morning.

MarigoldMoonStone · 02/11/2021 13:54

I got mine early morning the day after I posted it

Winterrain7 · 02/11/2021 13:56

Thanks. I sent it off around 11am today I think last collection is 5pm. I've checked on the royal mail site it just says check back tomorrow. Lft is showing negative so I'm hopeful the pcr test will be too.

I sent 3 yesterday at 12 noon and 2 out of 3 back 9pm tonight.

Well still nothing yet. The cough has subsided now and still testing negative on lft. It says they've been delivered since 12 midnight

Test sent dropped off Tuesday morning 8am and I got the (negative yay) result at 11am today

Winterrain7 · 03/11/2021 21:38

@ljc111995 great news and your result came back quite fast.
I hope the longer wait doesn't mean my ds will get a positive result. It seems the faster results are the negative ones so far.

Sent mine Sat AM and nothing yet, someone else at school locally (S London) waited 6 days, someone else nothing after 4 weeks. Won't bother doing a postal one again.

Angel2702 · 03/11/2021 21:41

Sent ours 8am Monday. Three of the 4 came back negative at lunchtime yesterday. Panicked as mine didn’t come through for hours after but was also negative.

Winterrain7 · 03/11/2021 21:43

Oh no that's a long time to wait. My mum did one a few weeks ago and hers came back the next day early hours in the morning and when I've done the pcr at the test centre they've come back the next day.

@angel2702 I'm glad yours came back negative also quite fast too.
