T&T to say we need to isolate…

Sorry I’ve looked through to see if this has been asked but can’t find similar. We flew back on Friday from Spain, did day 2 LFT tests which were negative. Had the text saying we have been in contact and need to self isolate for 10 days. Is this the case if double jabbed?! On the passenger locator form I couldn’t upload our vaccine certificates and ticked ‘show at border’ but they never checked! Is this the reason or is travel exempt from the non isolating rule?!

It should have been checked at the airport before you boarded the plane. Ours were when we flew back recently as I couldn't get my laptop to scan the QR code for the passenger locator form.

Since you're double jabbed there's no need to self isolate.

I had this too. You don't have to isolate. If you complete the online form t&t send you or take their call they will confirm this to you. Double vaccinated come under "exempt".

We’ve just had the same from a flight on Saturday. Double jabbed so not isolating.

Does anyone know if it’s the whole plane that gets notified or just certain seats near to the positive case?

@Downtown36 when it happened to us track and trace told me it was anywhere within 5 rows of yours.

Downtown36 · 01/11/2021 22:05

@Katie517 ah ok, thank you. Did you end up catching it / testing positive?

Topseyt · 01/11/2021 22:16

We had this after a flight home from Malta a couple of weeks ago.

We were told that because we were both double jabbed we did not need to self isolate. So we didn't. Shortly after that our Day 2 PCR tests both came back negative.

Thanks @Topseyt - hopefully we will avoid it too… 🤞
