Lateral Flow Tests

Attempting to do a lateral flow, and I can’t get the liquid from the pipette on to the test strip thing - there’s not enough to squeeze out. Have I a different batch of tests, or am I just an idiot?! (Quite possible) Tried it twice and nothing is coming out when I try. Any tips please?!

Did you squeeze the tip of cotton bud to get more liquid out?

I dont squeeze the liquid anymore when the bud is in the tube , so it doesnt rise up the sides of the pipette and the cotton bud part, does that make sense ? , I swish it around so it doesn't al soak in . I swish it around about 5 times and there is just enough liquid for 2 drops
If the test strip goes purple/ pink there's enough
There used to be much more liquid I'm sure , or the cotton bud part is super absorbent now
