Pfizer booster jab.......side effects.

Had my Pfizer booster jab Sat 30th October 10am and after feeling really dreadful with both Astrazeneca jabs, I was confident that this time was going to be different, as i I'd heard on the grapevine that Pfizer had less side effects. Wrong!! 36 hours later, I've had a very sore arm, shivering and shaking,.coupled with extreme lethargy. I've got through 3 doses of paracetamol and I'm really hoping I'm fine for tomorrow as I've got two very energetic classes to teach and need to be on top of my game. Could I be near the end of my symptoms? thankfully i haven't needed any paracetamol this evening.

Thanks in anticipation of your experiences.

Sorry to hear. Doesn't bode well for me. I had mine at 3pm today (Pfizer). I felt awful with the first Moderna dose. I can't remember the second. While I was speaking to the nurse I lightheartedly said I need to get my flu jab too. She checked I was on the list and shot that in my other arm too.

The Covid arm felt like I'd been punched later and in general I feel like I have been hit by a bus. I'm feeling sorry for myself for having both but in reality I'm probably not having a reaction to the flu jab.

I'm on my second round of paracetomol. To be fair once the first lot kicked in I was better able to function and do housework. But I also felt so tired that I thought I would lie down for 5 minutes which turned into an hour.

I'm just about to force myself to eat three satsumas as I couldn't face a proper dinner. I had bananas and yoghurt earlier.

I think if you don't need paracetomol you might be through the side effects. Hopefully that's the case.

I had what I thought were awful side effects from my booster. sore arm, so so tired, sore muscles especially in my back and neck and a headache. Turned out I had covid.

I had mine on Thursday and started with pain in my arm and armpit during the night on Thursday which developed into feeling awful by Friday morning, whole body aching and sore, fluey feeling and exhausted. Had to take paracetamol and ibuprofen for 48 hours but feel much better today.

I was ok, 1st AZ was unwell, 2nd was a bit tired
3rd was Pfizer and just a slightly sore arm. I had my flu jab in the other arm and that was much more sore which I think distracted me!

No side effects at all after 2 AZ jabs. Now I've had a Pfeizer jab as well but still no problems, thankfully.

I also had mine on Saturday- Pfizer. I had az first two and felt really ill with first ok with second. This time I’ve been fine although did go to sleep for about 2 hours sat afternoon. With both the second jab and booster I took paracetamol straight after so not sure if that helped. With my 1st jab I didn’t as wasn’t expecting to feel so ill

My friend felt awful after her pfizer booster and it also turned out to be covid.

Thanks for all your really interesting comments, much appreciated. The start of day 3 and I think I'm coming out the other side. Took one paracetamol last night before going to bed and just about to get up.

Now I've got my flu jab to look forward to on Wed evening, fingers crossed I'll be fine, but at least I've got my supplies of painkillers ready to act if needs be.
