Did your dc vomit with covid?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that children are more likely to vomit. Dd felt sick but didn't vomit. Other dc has started vomiting today but it's more than 2 weeks since Dd had covid.

No, DS's only symptoms were a temperature and nosebleeds oddly.

Doublechins · 31/10/2021 19:53

Yes one of them has but tbh I think it's the cough making him vomit

Grampire · 31/10/2021 19:56

Yes, my DD 7 has Covid at the moment. First day she woke up with a bunged up nose, coughed one or two times. The next day in the afternoon she got the fever and started vomiting.. literally couldn't even keep water down. It only lasted that day thank goodness, then she woke up with the cough the next morning.

cassgate · 31/10/2021 22:09

Yes. DS, 15 first symptom was vomiting. Only lasted 24 hrs then lost his taste and smell. Tested positive on lft during the vomiting stage. Then took him for pcr once the sickness and nausea had passed to confirm.

Niffler92 · 31/10/2021 22:28

2xkids with covid here both felt sick and had upset stomachs, sore thoats and heads.
No covid big 3 symptoms

idontlikealdi · 31/10/2021 22:28

No

Fluffmonkey82 · 31/10/2021 22:30

Mines did, turns out as well as covid he had an urine infection. Hard to tell which of these caused the vomiting though I suspect it was the urine infection.

SarahJinx · 31/10/2021 22:30

Yes. Ds first symptom was a bit of a temp and super tired, then he started vomiting and couldn’t keep anything down for about three days, even water. We were told that vomiting is a specific symptom with the Delta variant. He was so poorly, no cough or anything though.

wolfstarling · 31/10/2021 22:31

Yes

Lindy2 · 31/10/2021 22:38

Yes vomiting was the main symptom for DD12 and DD10. It was quite intense but thankfully only lasted a few days. They also got Covid toes (weird purple blisters on their toes).

We would not have thought the vomiting was Covid if myself and DH hadn't already tested positive. They had none of the usual publicised symptoms.

scraggadoo · 31/10/2021 22:42

Similar to @Lindy2 our DD main symptom was vomiting, (13). Didn't consider Covid at all until after a day or so she has a v minor cough. Tested positive on PCR.

ballsdeep · 31/10/2021 22:44

Yes. It was the only symptom my toddler had. She was sick every single evening and night for a week

muldersspeedos · 01/11/2021 07:45

I'm going to do an LFT today.

Yes vomiting can be a covid symptom in children.

IsabelleSE19 · 01/11/2021 13:27

Yes, only symptom so far that positive PCRed DD (7) has had.

BlackInk · 01/11/2021 13:55

Yes, DS age 12 vomited once.
He had a fever and bad headache at the time.

Fever, aches and sickness were his main symptoms. No cough, only minor congestion and no change to taste or smell. In fact he had no symptoms whatsoever until a couple of days after positive LFT / PCR.

WannaDanceDanceDanceDance · 01/11/2021 14:03

Yes, child age 11 here. And feeling very tired when usually has plenty of energy.

Redsparklybucket · 01/11/2021 22:22

My DH tested positive on Saturday and today my 8yr old add has had a headache and put herself to bed at 1730 missing dinner (unheard of for her) she’s just been sick a couple of times and is very hot. I have calpol to help with headache so no temp. She had an LFt this morning that was negative but I will try and test again tomorrow. Luckily inset day at school today so won’t send my 6yr old tomorrow!

SlurpleThePurple · 01/11/2021 22:27

Yes dd was vomiting on the day we took her for a PCR test. She was sick multiple times right outside the testing centre (luckily not inside!). It only lasted a day though.

Yellow85 · 01/11/2021 22:36

Yip. Started 2 days before positive PCR. No other symptoms.

Glitterblue · 01/11/2021 23:49

DD hasn't actually vomited but has felt sick every day since testing positive 2 weeks ago 😥
