Have I escaped it?

DH symptoms started last Sunday, tested pcr positive on Monday. I haven’t distanced from him at all really.

I had close prolonged contact with friend on Monday night, her symptoms started Wednesday and she tested pcr positive yesterday.

I feel a bit grim, headache and hot/cold sweats the last 2 nights. Pcr yesterday = negative.

Do you think I’m home and dry, or is there still a chance I might catch it? Feel ok. Double jabbed 6 months ago, no booster yet.

I'm questioning the same thing. DS tested positive from a pcr he did on Tues (symptoms started Mon). I've done three LFTs and 2 PCR and all negative. Have had cold symptoms on and off. Double jabbed. Wondering if I'm home free yet.

I don’t understand how I could have had so much close contact and being breathed all over for prolonged periods of time by definitely infectious people, yet not have caught it. I though it was hugely transmissible?

It is possible. Out of 6 of us only DS got it and we’ve not kept away from him at all. I was as surprised as you, especially as my 3 boys share a bedroom but it’s been 2 weeks now, negative pcr and regular negative lft’s and nobody else has caught it. Me and DH have had sore throats and headaches to begin with but we feel fine now and never tested positive so must have been a different bug.

I’m in a similar situation OP. Teen DS tested positive 10 days ago. He had very mild symptoms just for a day and has largely isolated in his bedroom, although we share a family bathroom. For the past couple of days I have felt a bit ‘odd’. Slight headache/queasy/light headed feeling, worse in the evening. I’m feeling extra hungry, a bit how I remember morning sickness. I’ve done x3 PCRs, the latest was yesterday (clear) and daily LFTs (two today). All clear. I don’t know if it means it’s about to hit me, or else my immune system is fighting it off. Don’t feel like we’re quite home and dry yet but who knows??
