How to ease covid cough

Myself and DS1 have covid. Caught off DD who had it. Only DS2 has escaped so far.

Luckily we don't seem to be doing too bad, being jabbed helps (I'm double jabbed and DS1 has had his jab in school)

It's just this awful cough that's bothering us now. Any tips on how to ease it?

I have had covid before back in March but I didn't have as bad a cough then. This time I feel better in myself but have a horrendous cough

Honey and lemon in warm water are as effective at soothing coughs as most OTC cough medicines. Half a lemon with 2 tsp of honey in hot water.

Thank you, I'll give it a go.

I found literally just having a spoon of honey by itself helped.

My GP warned me against any over the counter cough remedies - he said they never help and sometimes are counter productive. He recommended honey and lemon. Hope you feel better soon!
