Does it blanch? You can press it with a glass or pull the skin taunt. If it doesn’t you need to seek medical advice ASAP.

Tbh I might be tempted to ring 111 for out of hours advice anyway because of the temperature.

I had a rash that looked very similar when my symptoms first started. Test and trace do ask about rashes when they ask about symptoms as well so it must be quite common?

Sallydimebar · 30/10/2021 16:19

Done the glass test just stays the same . Temp 37.8 . Family member said could be viral rash ? Il ring 111 . Thanks

That looks abit like a shingles rash to me - I had the same on my leg before

Sallydimebar · 30/10/2021 16:36

On waiting for 111 extremely busy. Gave him ibuprofen as temp was 37. 9 was hoping it wouldn’t go back to 38 today . Just trying to get help before tonight . Awful when I can’t leave the house .

I hope you’ve spoken to someone at 111 by now Flowers

Just finished … medical advisor transferred me to a call back from GP so after speaking to Gp she said it can be common with kids and covid if they are coughing 1 of the symptoms he’s not really had . Just headache and temp for him . So sending out of hours GP to check him over . If he becomes week or passes out ring 999 . He’s ok in himself, temp is 37.9 still but I know that’s normal with covid .

Just thankful my symptoms have stayed mild up to now think it’s day 5 for me .

I’m glad he’s going to be checked over.

I hope that your both on the way to feeling much better soon, it’s a horrible, strange time to be ill.

My DS had a very similar rash on his face about four days before he started with a cough. It was two days after his cough started that he got a positive lateral flow.
We were testing each day because there were seven cases in his class in the week before half term.

Got another call and had to go to a covid centre in the end, didn’t know we had one it’s 1/2 hour away but at least somewhere to go when you feel you have the plague. Feeling Grateful to have my mind put at rest .

It’s a fungal rash not serious and given some cream . Honestly just want the virus out of his body and day 10 to come .

I had a very similar rash on my back when I had covid. It looked like shingles. I spoke to a nurse over the phone who wasn't concerned
