Help with self isolation rules please

If you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive do you have to isolate for 10 days if your pcr test is negative? Sorry if it's a stupid question, it's the first time I've been faced with this.

If you are double vaccinated and PCR negative then you don't need to isolate. If you are not double vaccinated then you need to isolate even if your PCR is negative

Get a PCR after another few days AND although you don't have to isolate if double jabbed the guidance/common sense to wear a mask, wash/sanitise your hands etc & have as little to with other people as possible is still there!!

Then you're not double vaccinated because it doesn't work for two to three weeks, so yes you have to isolate for ten days despite the negative test.

You're not double vaccinated then (need to be 14 days post 2nd vaccine) and need to isolate even if your PCR is negative

Thanks, I've ordered pcr test, hopefully here tomorrow. I've had 2 negative LFT. I thought I might have to isolate but friends were telling me if pcr was negative I didn't need to so wanted to check.

You do need to isolate as you haven't been double vaccinated for 14 days
