Little tonsils and the LF test!

I find it extremely difficult to swab my tonsils. I have extremely small tonsils, even the GP remarks on them whenever I am checked! I find it virtually impossible to swab them, never mind not touching the back of my mouth!
Can I just swab my noses? I know children do this? Will it still be effective?

I don't have any tonsils. If there's any Covid lurking it will be in the area - it doesn't just exist on tonsils - so I swab the general area. I used a spoon handle to hold my tongue down, it made getting the right area much easier. Until I was gagging too much!

Some of the LFTs are nostrils only. Any time I've been swabbed by a professional they've only done the nostrils, so maybe that would suffice.

It says in the instructions to do the area where tonsils would have been if you don't have any, lots of people don't of course like my 10 year old. The newer lfts that have been sent out in last 3 months are nose only anyway (I appreciate some pharmacies still have the old ones as ive seen them on the shelf but you can order them to be delivered and they'll be the other sort where you only do nose).
