I’m in Australia and my immune suppressed daughter (28 years old) is in the UK and has had COVID for a week. She’s just called me crying as she has chest pain. She’s calmed down now and her oxygen level is 96 and temp 37. What should I do. She’s in the queue to speak to the GP

She called 999 and they are taking her in for tests. She feels better now she’s not on her own.

Sorry to hear your daughter is so unwell. It must be hard being so far away too.

111 would be the best place for her to phone if she can’t see a GP. They will triage her and decide if she needs medical attention.

Sorry I posted when you posted.

Glad she is getting medical attention. Hope she is ok.

@Bunn5 thank you for replying, I feel reassured they are looking after her and scared in equal measures - there won’t be any sleep for me tonight.

Oxygen 96 is good OP. You probably know that but just wanted to add a bit of reassurance.
Hope she's ok really soon, it must be so hard being so far away.

@heldinadream and @Bizawit thank you for taking the time to reply. It was hard hearing her so upset so I’m glad they are taking care of her

She was discharged last night, bloods taken, ecg and chest X-ray. They don’t know what the pain was but no sign of a medical emergency thank goodness. Sorry if I was dramatic

How is she feeling, has the pain stopped? You can be as 'dramatic' as you like when your child has a medical issue on the other side of the world! I would be.
