Anyone had lots of sneezing as a first symptom? Had contact with someone who tested positive on Tuesday and now DP and I are sneezing lots. Is this the beginning? Halloween Confused

Yes, my first symptom was sneezing, within 12 hours I'd completely lost my sense of taste and smell. 😩

My first symptom was sneezing- initially thought it was hayfever until I did a lateral flow to return to work. Five days later the other symptoms kicked in

Yes sneezing first, few hours later blinding headache

I'm sneezing as are the rest of my family. So far only DS had tested positive and and he is sneezing the least out of us (but he is the only one too young to have been vaccinated, the rest of us are fully jabbed).

I sneezed all day yesterday literally every 2 mins but it's cleared up today. Similarly I had a very sore throat for 2 days and that cleared up before the sneezing started

Negative pcr on Tuesday, went for another today. My 2 pre schoolers tested positive on Tuesday

Sneezing was my only symptom, if indeed it was a symptom (I'm not convinced it was). I was regularly doing LFTs and they were all negative until about four or five days after a particularly lively run of sneezing fits. I have hay fever so it's not unusual for me and I thought nothing of it at the time, apart from that I hadn't been so sneezy for a while. I put it down to pollen levels being fairly high at the time, although I hadn't been too badly affected this year beforehand. And it actually could've been hay fever not covid, we'll never know!

I had a terrible headache too but again, I suffer with migraines and have two or three a week so it may have just been a migraine for me.

Look at the Zoe list of Covid symptoms for vaccinated people…
Headache
Sneezing
Runny nose
Sore throat
Cough

Get a pcr test if you’ve suddenly started sneezing a lot. The government have been useless in not changing the guidance on this.

PurpleDaisies · 29/10/2021 13:51

Have you already done your pcr test as a contact?

Waxonwaxoff0 · 29/10/2021 15:39

Yes, sneezing and snotty nose were my first symptoms 3 days after testing positive on a PCR. Followed by rising temperature and loss of smell and taste. No cough.

ilovebagpuss · 29/10/2021 17:07

Yes so much sneezing and my DD. I actually hurt my muscles from the sneezing.

Willyoujustbequiet · 29/10/2021 23:34

Yes, sneezing and a horrendous itching blocked nose were the worst symptom for me.Its carried on while other symptoms have eased.
