Covid headache???

My mom is late 60s and she received 2 AZ vaccines earlier this year. I think it was April and May of this year.

Sometimes she experiences headaches and its not connected to the vaccines or other know illness. I think it perhaps tension headaches. They usually come about with stress. Sometimes some smells brings on a headache for her.

She's been experiencing headache for about 3 days now and 3 days is unusual for her. My understanding of migraine is that it's one sided. I think I had one of these last week. It was over one eye and it was connected to a lack of sleep. Mom says the headache is all over her head.

She is moving about more and more and she is not shielding. She goes on public transport about once a week regardless of the public health news and rising cases. If it was was me, I would proceed with caution but she doesnt have much sense or comprehension. She also doesn't like wesring a mask properly so she wears a mask under her nose and I think maybe she might be at more of an increased risk for picking up an infection.

Just wondering if headache would be a sign of covid?

I had an horrendous headache for 4 days when I had covid. She should get a PCR

A headache was my first and main symptom, which lasted for days.

She says her appetite is affected but she's craving sweet things. She doesn't usually have a sweet tooth but she's craving sweet things.

I suggested covid to my mam but she's not having any of it. She doesn't want to test and doesn't want to isolate or restrict her movements.

Headache is listed as most common symptom amongst the double vaccinated by Zoe.

If she won’t test, I don’t know what you can do about it. Headache was the most prominent symptom for dh who has Covid. I’ve had a headache and been consistently negative on pcr and lateral flow tests.

icedancerlenny · 28/10/2021 20:25

It was my first and a lingering symptom. She’s selfish if she won’t test.

Triple vaccinated and headache my main symptom plus a runny nose

Toddlerteaplease · 28/10/2021 20:42

A headache was my only symptom for several days. I never had any of the other symptoms.

A headache was DD's first symptom. I collected her at school one lunchtime because she had what she thought was a migraine but later in the day she said it was different from her normal migraines and that rather than being one sided it was all over her head, and it really hurt when she moved her eyes. She asked to do a test because it was so different, and it came back positive.

Mom woke up with the same headache again this morning and she knows it's not right. She's till claiming its a migraine but there wasn't her usual triggers this week. Stress is a factor. The family has experienced harassment over the past number of years but the individual seems to have quitened for now. Still not over but quitened for now. So that streelss shouldn't be very high.

Mom is kow finally open to the possibility of covid but she still won't test or isolate.
