This is a positive LF yes? I think it is, my DH doesn't want to believe it (it's his and he's got no symptoms). I'll be taking one as soon as I'm half an hour clear of my dinner. There's only the two of us. Thanks folks.

Is that after 15 mins?

The dye hasn’t reached the end so id say that’s a failed test tbh. Do another one if it has had the correct amount of time

Whatwentwronghere · 25/10/2021 19:24

Looking at it again it does look like another line there but it could just be excess pigment

Lindy2 · 25/10/2021 19:26

I'm not sure about that one. If you wait a little while the background should go completely white so it might be easier to see.

heldinadream · 25/10/2021 19:26

That's the full 30 minutes but he moved it. I know, I know. I told him not to but hey, things do not apply to some people do they?

There's not even a clear control line on that. It needs repeating.

JuneOsborne · 25/10/2021 19:26

That's barely developed. Take another photo in 5

Thanks that's helpful - I'll nip up and have a look.

I'd do a second one to see if it's clearer. DS did 2 tests, the first looked like that, the second was easier to see and it was confirmed by PCR the next day.

heldinadream · 25/10/2021 19:29

It's taken me 2 days to persuade him to do one. But yes, I'll have a go at telling him that mumsnet thinks he needs to do another one. Grin

He's accepted it's positive. Now I'm going to do mine. Knowing him he'll get away with it and stay asymptomatic and I'll be ill, but who knows? Both double vaxxed by the way.

I've never done one and not had a very clear line in the control bit, so another one saying it's a failed test and redo it.

heldinadream · 25/10/2021 20:48

Yeah he's doing another one. Mine was clear neg. Possible he just screwed it up being sloppy. He's an actual scientist (physicist). I told him he'd get sacked if he ever had a lab job and he agreed.

I’ve been doing LFT’s on my family, please advise, the LFT’s results been up and down, showing faint line then negative / what do you think please as the results are varying - many thanks (Boys
Are fine, had a cold, this blasted super cold) and me and my husband have it too. My ears are hurting, all ENT / like a head cold, and now a bit if a cough but not continuous. Tia

Glitterblue · 26/10/2021 00:11

DD's looked like this, she repeated it and it was a very strong line, confirmed by PCR the next day.
