How were u your little ones with covid??
My daughter we suspect has tonsillitis ( crying with pain in her throat ) quite red and swollen when we have looked.. this is how things started. She has also been sick last night and now has a temp and cough but has also developed a rash on her torso. We have been for a PCR this morning so hopefully not too long of a wait!

My ds is also 14 & has a bit of a rash on his face. I’ve heard its quite common. Hope your dd feels better soon, it’s horrible seeing them with this.

@x2boys would you mind telling me how you managed the 10 day isolation with your ds please? My ds has been in another room from us for 3 days although we do sit in the garden and talk to him. He has his xbox etc but today has become really upset. He said he feels alot better and doesn’t want to be stuck in anymore. I am in one of the vulnerable groups although I’ve had my booster and although I’ve tried to keep away, wash hands, wear mask etc since he caught it i just can’t see how we can leave him like this for another 8 days! This morning I was actually concerned for his mental wellbeing🙁
I’m at the point where I’m thinking sod it if I catch it from him, I can’t bear seeing him like this and can’t even give him a hug! Sorry to hijack your thread@mamatro

I had a rash with covid, but children can also have viral rashes so the pcr should tell you. Hope she is better soon.

@mamatro Sorry to hear your dd is feeling ill Flowers ds had a sore throat as his first sign of covid, then was sick and got a cough and high temperature, and did develop a rash but the rash came after the fever had gone down, about a week into his illness.

I think it’s quite common though for a virus (any virus!) that raises temperature to also bring on a rash so it could still be tonsillitis rather than covid. Not that either of those are nice options! I hope she starts to feel better soon and the pcr result comes back quickly Flowers

He had it at the start of the summer, holidays ,so at the time we all had to isolate ,he stayed in his room most of the time but we live in a small two bedroom house with one bathroom ,so we could only do what we could do my son's a bit of a hermit so he was happy to stay in his room ,I will admit I still hugged him etc ,neither myself or my dh caught it and dh is also CEV, so fingers crossed for you.

Thank you @x2boys

Thank you all for replies.. fingers crossed for a negative result. She seems ok in herself when calpol/ibuprofen is given.. night time is the worst for her. She's a little trooper so hopefully whatever it is passes quickly! Hope all your dc are all ok x
