Same here, multiple LFT from 2 seperate packs can't possibly be wrong, especially when I have some symptoms. In London too and tested negative PCR yesterday, have ordered another one because tested positive LFT this morning. I'm vaccinated, are you? Could it be a new varient?

Yes me! Daily positive LFT but 3 negative PCR tests

mamatro · 22/10/2021 14:39

Me too!! Positive LFTs for a week but 3 negative PCRs south Oxfordshire

zaffa · 22/10/2021 15:11

Oh, I'm South East

This is why I'm not taking a PCR test. DD and DH both had COVID in the last week or two, both confirmed by PCR. I've now had three clear positive LFTs three days in a row, plus symptoms that fit with Delta, including an LFT from an older pack (the nose and throat 30-minute one; otherwise I'm using the nose-only 15 minute ones).

Well it's not the only reason: I cannot handle the nonsense of Test & Trace phone calls! (Going to isolate a full 10 days, obviously - just don't want the damn phone calls and texts, so intrusive.)

Here too- fever 38-40 for 4 days, cough, headache, joint pain, lethargy, cold symptoms, sore eyes, feel terrible. LFT negative. Pcr negative. Now LFT positive. Going for another pcr!

One child in house had positive LFT for 6 days and x2 negative pcr- they were v close contact as best friend tested positive and they sit / play together all day in school

Now everyone in house unwell

I have no idea what’s going on but I’m expected back in work ASAP based on pcr

PCRs are not always correct. My daughter had classic COVID symptoms last January (before LFDs were around). Her PCR was negative but she was later confirmed positive with a blood test.
You can’t trust PCR to always be correct.

Yes I’m double vac’d. I can’t work out if it’s a dodgy batch of LFT or a new variant that PCR testing isn’t detecting.
