Travel to France

Can UK teenagers under 18 with one vaccine jab (so not fully vaccinated even though they’re desperate to be -don’t get me started!!) travel to France for tourism purposes at the moment?

I’m not clear from what’s on the government website so was hoping someone might be able to help. TIA

It looks like a seven day isolation period needed:

Thank you that’s really helpful. And disappointing.

They can travel with a fully vaccinated adult, subject to a negative PCR in the 24 hours before arriving in France (or leaving the UK, I can't remember), but not alone I don't think, sorry.

Sorry, I think a lateral flow would do as well, but a paid for rather than NHS.

Yes that’s bizarre. Not sure what difference travelling with a vaccinated adult makes.
DS is due to meet his uncle who lives in France, hey ho.
I may have to go too as the poor kid has already just had to cancel a holiday due to testing positive on a fit to fly an 🤞it doesn’t happen again.

If the teens are under 18 and travelling with vaccinated parents then they can enter france with just a lateral flow test taken within 24hrs of arrival. The problem is, they will then need a covid test every 72hrs if you are taking them to any restaurants or attractions Sad. Many pharmacies do antigen covid testing which costs 25 euros.

This graphic explains the rules (but is in french). Under 18’s can enter france alone but must have a compelling reason and then self isolate for 7 days.

Yes, it is crazy. We're going at half term (praying the DC dodge it for one more day) and because they're under 12 they don't need any tests, despite the fact that they're more likely to have it than me or DH!
