Should I get another PCR?

Been unwell on and off for about 10 days with a cold/cough etc. I did a few lateral flow tests at home, all negative. Then last week I thought I should get a PCR just in case as I was due to travel to see my dd at university. It came back negative thank goodness.

Now nearly a week on I still have a cough. I know there are lots of bugs going round and that coughs take ages to go, but should I do another PCR?

I wouldn't personally if its the same cough - symptoms from cold viruses can last for weeks, and particularly coughs . I'd only be concerned if you'd been symptom free for a few days and then started back up again (guidance is a 'new continuous cough').

Dc tested negative with a persistent cough and close contact. Tested again 3 days later, positive. Hadn't left the house in between. (Because I was convinced it was covid).
