Dead/jelly legs after covid

So I'm currently day 13 of covid and feeling pretty much back to normal probably about 90%. I don't feel like I could hit the gym yet but I am back to working a full day (from home) but I'm pretty shattered come 6pm
However one thing I'm noticing isn't importing is what I can only describe as weak/dead or jelly like legs. I started getting it in the peak of my infection and presumed it was because I was isolated to a bedroom and not been active at all. Going from working out 3-4 x a week pre covid.
However I would have expected this to be getting better now I'm moving around more and I feel it isn't.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with their legs/muscles? And how long did it take them to feel full strength again

I had this all year after suspected COVID March 20. Sorry to say I’m still struggling.

Does your area have a long COVID clinic yet? Give it a few weeks, it’s definitely normal to not feel right yet but maybe look into it if you’re still struggling a month or so after or more.

I have no idea if there is a long covid clinic not heard of that so will look into it.
@Alonghairinapie Sorry to hear your still struggling. I hope you see some improvements soon!
Covid really does knock you for six doesn't it! I'm Double jabbed too and never expected to feel as rough as I did!

Yes the key symptom is rough, rest when you need to and look after yourself. Don’t push it if you feel rough but good that you are back up and about

*leg not key sorry

I had covid at the beginning of October, double vaccinated, and like you didn't really expect to be as ill as I was. I'm still coughing and breathless, and also having trouble with my legs, pins and needles in them, can't stand or sit for too long, never had this before covid.

CatAlice · 20/10/2021 19:18

Oh yes. I was quite ill from covid, hospitalised but the jelly legs were awful. I put it down to muscle loss from being in bed so long but maybe that's not it. It lasted several weeks. In fact 3 months on my legs get tired before the rest of me.

Chocachocaholic · 20/10/2021 20:16

@CatAlice sorry your not feeling 100% still and your experience with covid sounds awful Thanks
It is reassuring to know that I'm not the only one though.

I am going to try and build back to some exercise and try to incorporate some daily yoga or Pilates to try and build up strength again.

Thanks @Chocachocaholic. Pilates is good, I managed a few leg stretches at first and went back to my class two weeks ago. It feels like a way of getting some fitness/ strength back without being too tiring on the legs.
