Is this Negative?

Me and DH did our lateral flows this eve and I'm sure I can see a very faint line on his?!
He says it's negative and that I am looking too hard 🤦🏻‍♀️

Why is there still so much liquid in the sample bit? The instructions on mine always say 3-4 drops and to not ‘drown’ it.

😂 Because it was really dodgy to get any liquid out of the vial it kind of went up the sides inside if that makes sense when trying to drop a drop in 🤦🏻‍♀️ So he took the lid off and tapped the vial so it came out instead. Probably too much came out tbf. And then it didn't track up the test window until he gave it a wiggle and a poke with his swab 🤦🏻‍♀️

I agree with you OP and see what you think is a very faint line. But it's so faint it's barely there.

Test again tomorrow morning, 1st thing before you've eaten/drunk anything or brushed teeth.

I can see a faint line. This is what DD's rest looked like and the next day the line was much stronger. My DH couldn't see the faint line either!

I think I can almost see a second line but not if I zoom in.

Just do another tomorrow

I had a similar argument with my husband this morning about mine. He was adamant he couldn't see it! I can though, did another one after which was negative but have been for a PCR. I confess I can't see a line on yours- so everything crossed! Xx

Definitely a line here. I can see a tiny tiny hint of one on the OP’s but it’s probably down to messing the test up with too much liquid. Do another one in the morning.

This is yours if you play with the contrast etc. It's a definite faint line.

I'm consistently getting the same faint lines on those flowflex tests.

No symptoms.

2 negative PCRs.

My DS is getting this. Consistent very faint lines but negative PCR and no symptoms. I'm just going to keep doing LFTs for a while and get another PCR if it gets stronger.

I'm wondering if it could be evaporation lines like on pregnancy tests. But I don't get the same line when I do mine. Its very odd.

I think thye can change if left longer than 30mins.

Thanks Prickles and everyone else. The contrast change on it makes it is really clear! This test was from first thing this morning before I had eaten or had anything to drink. I did two after which were negative.

However, this is the closest I have ever had to anything even remotely resembling a line (I have been testing twice weekly for the last year as I am a teacher) so I went for a PCR today at midday. Just waiting on results now.

Might started like that! Also a teacher, last Monday was a giant line first thing. 2 further LFT were both negative. PCR can’t back positive and then next day LFT was much stronger.
