Anyone who has been to drive through with kids

So husband, myself and 2 of our 3 sons went to drive through yesterday for pcr (our eldest son got positive from test Friday so us 4 went to get checked as close contacts).

Bit of a mix up on entry, as they seemed surprised there were 4 of us but got there in end. All 4 tests done. We’ve had mine and husbands tests back this pm but not our two sons.

If you’ve been to drive through test as a family, did you get results in close succession or separate? Bit surprised we’ve got the two adult results but not the two kids, especially as theirs were ‘add ons’ to my booking.

By the way, when I booked the tests, I did mine then added my two sons on, each in turn. Husband booked his separately.

I booked 3 of ours together. Mine and son’s came back together, DH about four hours later.

Similarly when we did them by post and sent them back together there was a couple of hours difference in getting the results back.

Me and Ds did ours together but mine came back about 11am and Ds was about 2pm.

I booked me, 2XDC and DH on one booking @ 12pm, booked DF and DM on another @ 3pm.

Results came in:
DH, DC2, me, DF @ 00:02
DM and DS1 @ 05:20

So I think they got collected at same time, split up and then analysed at different times.

I booked ours at the same time. DD was the first, then DS, then me. DC’s came back within seconds of each other - about 20hrs from test to result. I got mine back about an hour after DC’s - all neg. That was last Monday and I’m in the South East.

Their two results have come back 3 hours after ours. All negative thankfully. Now I just need DS1 to get better himself and keep everything crossed the rest of us stay negative 🤞
