Symptoms after Pfizer Booster? (after AZ for first two jabs)

Hi,

Has anyone who has had their Pfizer booster shot experienced side effects? Particularly if first 2 jabs were AZ.

My parents (late 70s) are having their booster next Saturday morning, and sounded amazed when I suggested they might feel a bit under the weather afterwards. They had the AZ vaccine for their first two vaccines, although to be fair had no minimal side effects for that, so may be completely fine again.

I'm also interested for me (age 50) when my time comes for the booster in late November. Are side effects (for Pfizer booster) better or worse than the AZ earlier doses? I felt very rough for 4 days after my first jab, although the second was a bit better, and only lasted 1-2 days.

I've known a number of people who had more side effects after their booster than the other two. We're still talking mild symptoms, but they said they were noticeable in comparison to the other times. Some of them had had the flu at the same time though, so they weren't sure which one had given them the side effect either!
I don't know which jabs they had though.

My dad had AZ for first two, Pfizer for booster. No side effects for both AZ, felt unwell for several days after Pfizer booster. He is mid 70s.

I felt a little under the weather the day after my third dose. My first two had been AZ. I had such little reaction to those that I was muttering that perhaps they'd only pretended to inject me.

I had AZ for my first dose and was quite ill after, very fluey and slept a lot.

Had Pfizer as my 2nd dose and had no symptoms at all, just felt like I'd been punched in the arm the next day.

I had AZ for my first doses and felt really fluey after both.

I've had zero symptoms from my Pfizer booster, except sore arm.

I've had 3 Pfizer now, only a sore arm after all 3.

I had AZ for the first 2. The first time was straight up horrendous with the headaches and muscle aches and chills. Better second time round, but still got the chills and headache but first a shorter time. I'm just over 40 years old and had had covid before the vaccines at least once.
Have now taken the booster, yesterday and feeling very sleepy today and a mild headache last night.
Hoping it means its kicking in well!

I felt really rough after my first Astra zeneca jag but no side effects the second time. Now had the Pfizer booster and other than a little bit of a sore arm had no side effects.

Me too - I had my booster this morning, just have a slightly sore arm at the moment.

I had AZ x2 and Pz booster yesterday- so far just a sore arm. I’d say the arm is slightly sorer than with AZ, I was a bit tired after my second jab but it only lasted 24 hours. My dad in his 80s also had AZ and Pz booster - he said he had no side effects at all.

Same as @tigger1001 and @ErrolTheDragon. Poorly after first AZ, nothing after second one and just a sore arm after Pfizer booster (also more sore than with either AZ but not too bad really).

DH - no side effects at all after any of the three.

I had my Pfizer booster yesterday, and just have a sore arm (uncomfortable enough to stop me sleeping on that side, but otherwise can use my arm normally). First 2 were AZ, I vomited a bit after the first AZ and was fine the next day, nothing after the second.

I had my Pfizer booster on Weds evening and felt a bit shivery last night (24 hours later). Took paracetamol and slept fine but have a slightly dull headache this morning. I checked about headache as a side effect and the rare risk of thrombosis and it seems to be particularly if a headache starts after about 4 days after the booster so I'm hoping this is typical and will quickly pass. I don't like to take painkillers which may mask important symptoms but I may need to today.
