Why make you get a code for LFTs?

Went to supermarket as our last batch of LFTs had run out, and had to faff around getting a code? Then could only pick up two packs instead of four (for family of 4). Seems like putting hurdles in the way of picking up LFTs is going to put people off taking them.

Order online? Mine are always delivered next day when I order on a week day. Sometimes my pharmacy runs out so it’s handy to have the online option.

Agree @riverpebbles . And not easy for the elderly either.

Probably because people keep collecting them, doing the test and then not bothering to log the results.

Apparently when you get a code to collect them it then reminds you to log the result.

I think it’s probably a lead into charging for them (as has been reported in the press) from January…

Perhaps there will be exemption from charges for certain groups however?

Data collection.

It was the news a while ago that tens of thousands of boxes of them were handed out but only a fraction of them registered the results.

But they’re not going to track if the code they give you leads to seven LFT results being registered, are they?

And most of those are given out in schools.
