PCR results delays?

I assume that the lab closure will result in some delays. I’ve been waiting 36 hours now, and I was really hoping to get my PCR result before work tomorrow. Anyone else experiencing slowish results?
Apparently I need to wait 72 hours before chasing on 119.

I’m a couple of hours behind you and still waiting . neighbour went to a different site and got hers within 21 hours

@pinkcattydude same here! My friend went to the other test centre in town later in the morning than me and got her results 7pm last night.

Just got mine back 37 hours so not too bad, just hate the waiting and now DS is off school til after half term.

@pinkcattydude ah no! I hope he isn’t feeling too rough. I’m expecting the same for my DS, we had a positive LFT. I’m glad you got your results. Gives me hope that mine will turn up eventually.

Had my ds through in 35 hrs still waiting for mine and done together , his was positive though so not sure if they prioritise those ?

How would they know which to prioritise before they test the sample?

I did a postal one ..posted Tuesday morning but not heard anything ?

52 hours and counting.

Finally got mins in early hrs approx 12 hrs after my soms

@Thingsthatgo have you rang them to check its at least i the system ?
I know it says x amount of days but no harm in calling and they were really helpful when I had this in the summer

Got mine after 49 hours - negative. Good luck to everyone waiting for results.

Got mine and DS's back this morning in less than 24 hours (both positive).

Where do you live OP?

Results came in at last, and as expected! Positive for DS. He is fine, and happy to have a long half term holiday.

So many unfortunately positive DS is just snotty and tired. Hopefully that’s all he’ll get and hopefully out of isolation in time for half term
