LFT- when did yours go negative?

Just that really- do they really stay positive for up to 90 days or is that only PCRs? I’m just thinking about some freelance work I have in November/December that will require proof of a negative lateral flow on the day..
Sorry if this has been asked to death, I had a quick look through the board but couldn’t see much mention of it.

I'm on day 7 of postive, but they are fading. I think the line will be gone by Tuesday.

Dd had 6 days of positive LFT with days 4 and 5 faint and day 6 faint and appearing after 5 mins. Days 6 and 7 were both negative.

On day 10.

Cruiser11 · 15/10/2021 15:03

My DH who also had COVID was told not to do a LFT for work for 90 days, I’m guessing it’s different for you as you are freelance.

RaoulDufysCat · 15/10/2021 15:13

DD was negative by day 7 on lateral flow.

SpringheelJack · 15/10/2021 15:53

No, it's not different. You're reasonably likely to get a Fae positive for around 90 days after an infection - so it's not reliable. Will whoever you need to present it to accept evidence of previous infection? You're incredibly unlikely to get it again so soon so that's probably more indicative than a negative LFT anyway, given how ropey those are!

sachaf08 · 15/10/2021 16:00

@SpringheelJack they might do, but unfortunately I’m one of the people in the south west who had a negative pcr. This is why I’m concerned as I can’t prove I’ve had covid. I would get another pcr done, but no guarantee it will show up positive of course and also my wedding is a week tomorrow so don’t want to risk a new ten day isolation given that I’m now on day 9 post symptoms. I think I will probably just need to explain the situation and hope for the best!

Ah, shit! That's awkward...

SirensofTitan · 15/10/2021 16:30

There have been threads about this, I don't know how you'd find them but I know I've read them as I know someone through work who had a similar problem I don't know them well enough to know what happened in the end but I registered a number of threads because of that

Have you tried a few search term?

sachaf08 · 15/10/2021 16:33

Will have a look thanks @SirensofTitan
