PCR turnaround times in Gloucestershire/South West

My DS did a PCR at a drive-through centre in Gloucestershire first thing on Wednesday morning and we're still waiting for results, 48 hrs+. I know this is within the expected time frame but it's slower than we've experienced in the past.

What are other people in the area experiencing? I wondered whether all the trouble with labs/false negative PCRs might have slowed things down.

I'm pretty certain DS has it. Three positive LFTs and high temperature/feeling grim. Most of his school friends are in the same position too. Getting worried that either his result is lost or he'll get a false negative. I just want to know!

These is his LFTs on Wednesday so not a feint one!

Thanks @Tuliptulip

Yes I read that report and wondered whether maybe the Wolverhampton lab being shut down might delay results? My DS took the PCR test on Wednesday 13th so just outside the 'dodgy results' timeframe they mention.

I imagine south west results diverted different lab so take longer

Results in (about 55 hours) and it's positive. At least I know now...
