Wouldn't have tested at all if I'd not taken DD for a test as she had symptoms! Hers was negative, mine positive!

This was what happened to me to start with too. We all did LFTs on the Sunday night as per usual, and one of my children's came up positive (mine and everyone else's were negative). Two of the kids and I had a PCR on the Monday morning as advised by the school. The child who was positive on LFT obviously got a positive PCR but I was a bit freaked out that mine also came back positive, when I literally had no symptoms and had had a negative the previous night. However within 24 hours I had started to feel rough and now it's 2.5 weeks in and I'm still feeling lousy! So starting off with no symptoms doesn't necessarily mean it'll stay that way!

Yes me!
Saturday- lateral flow- negative
Monday- pcr- positive
Tuesday- lateral flow- negative!

No symptoms. I was asked to take the pcr test due to be in contact with someone who tested positive.

I did a PCR on Monday after being in contact with someone, it was positive. But still, on Thursday, my LFTs are all negative, and I have no symptoms. The person who phoned me from track and trace said don’t do another PCR for 90 days as it will likely say positive even if I’m not….. soooo does this mean I could have had it in the past 90 days and not known, and that’s why the PCR says positive? And if it was a while ago I’m no longer in the contagious period, and that’s why the LFTs are still negative?

Dd tested positive earlier this week as a close contact - was v shocked at the positive result as she had zero symptoms. Day 4 now and she’s still totally fine, just bored of being at home.

She did get a positive lateral flow just after we got the test result but v faint & gone the next day.

We were symptomatic but all our LFs were negative, my first two pcr were too

Yep my daughter!!! Several LFT all negative went for a PCR as most of her class are off and it was positive!!! Absolutely no symptoms at all 💯 well in herself and 10 days off school 😬 been harder me having her at home 😂

Yes, me. Went for a test as I was a close contact. Symptoms did develop a couple of days later though.

Facespook · 14/10/2021 21:44

Are you sure you didn’t mix up your tests?!

MargaretFaffter · 14/10/2021 22:11

Exactly what happened to me today. I’m positive despite no symptoms or feeling ill at all.

MissSkate · 15/10/2021 07:29

@Facespook, def didn't mix them up. I was so so careful handing them back
