How unwell were your COVID positive toddlers?

My DS has had what I thought was a cold for a few days (snotty, a bit more tired than usual and off his food but no fever or cough) but he coughed a few times this afternoon so I did a LFT on him and it was a strong positive 😩

I've taken him for a PCR but he's already 5 days into his symptoms...is this likely to be as bad as it gets or should I worry? (I do have anxiety and am prone to catastrophizing)

How long were your toddlers unwell? Was it bad?

He's just turned 3 by the way so not a young baby, I think he's picked it up at preschool

My 3 year old had it last Christmas. 2 days of relatively mild symptoms and that was it.

My 2 year old had it in the summer. Bit of a temperature and lethargic for 2ish days then back to normal. Good luck!

My 2 year old had it and was poorly for around 5 days. Really tired, temp of 40 and lots of sneezing. He’s still wiped out from it now. My 5 week baby also has Covid, he was very congested and sneezing. I am double vaccinated so think that he has some antibodies from them. Really does seem to show differently in people.

It was no worse than the usual colds tbh. They were the least effected of the household.

I'm glad to hear all of your DC were okay

My DS seems fine at the moment, he's definitely been more unwell with colds in the past, I'm just worrying he'll get worse 😩

DH & I are both still negative at the moment. I'm triple jabbed (I work for the NHS and just had my booster) but DH is unvaccinated (don't even ask 😡) so hopefully we'll stay that way!
