Are other people's kids OK?

Mine can't get out of bed after his vaccine on Monday.

He's been exhausted with a headache and got a temperature. Still not out of bed. He's missed two days of school already.

24-48 hours of feeling ill, even very ill post Covid Vax is is normal. Our work even advised we plan for it by not scheduling anything essential during those days.

My neighbours son was in bed with fever and chills for 3 days after vaccine, my 2 sons were absolutely fine.

My DD was fine after first but had high temp for 2 days after second. About half of her class were the same.

When I say lots are off I mean 5/6 out of his class and circle of friends. It’s only those who were vaccinated as well which is why I’m sure it’s the vaccine that’s made him so sick.

He’s not that social or popular and the school is huge so in the whole school there are probably far more, I imagine.

How is your dc feeling now?

Headache, tiredness, nausea etc - all side effects of vaccine

A temperature indicates an infection. Highly unlikely vaccine related

Fair enough I was told by my GP that temperature highly unlikely vaccine and was an infection

Sure enough… a day later I was tonsillitis

He will be fine in a day or two. Poor lad I felt shite after mine too.

My temperature was 40 after my first vaccine. I was ill for nine weeks and was sent to A & E by my GP due to the severity of my headaches. I just felt a bit tired after my second vaccine.

I can’t see why some kids wouldn’t be poorly when lots of adults are after the jab. I also can’t understand why it’s given in school either.
I was poorly for 3 weeks after mine with lots of different awful symptoms. Hope he feels better soon!
