Late on period after covid vaccine

Hello all,

I’m a week late on my period after having second vaccine. I got a period straight after usual and noticed some spotting two weeks after.

Has anyone experience similar or delayed periods due to the vaccine?

Yes, been a fair few discussions on here about it since the vaccinations started
Messed my periods up and I'm on the coil!

Yep and still having issues 4 months on

It’s a known phenomenon with the AZ. Use the yellow card system to report and flag with your GP if you’re concerned.

Yes three months on I'm still having issues, last months was very early and this month I'm a week late up to now, no chance of being pregnant!

Still having issues 6+ months on here - only mine are fucking interminable periods (and PMT as well - not fun). I've also become Allergic As Fuck to various things since the jab

I had Pfizer. Mine have been quite odd! I was supposed to get my period a few days after my first dose but it ended up being about 12 days late. I then had my second dose about mid-cycle and spotted a few days later, am now up to day 34 with absolutely no sign of AF. Bit of a cruel joke when you're excited for a BFP haha.

It's actually quite normal because any kind of immune response can temporarily cause your hormones to become a bit out of whack.

So is it normal that i had my second vaccine in July, a period in August then nothing since? Seems weird.

A vaccine can potentially have a similar impact on your cycle as stress, because your body is busy creating antibodies.

Quite a number of women have reported this as a side-effect. I would watch it for a couple of months. It will probably return to normal but if it doesn't, see your doctor as it may be unrelated to the vaccine.

If it helps, I'm tracking with OPKs and even though my periods are a much longer at the moment, I do still appear to be ovulating.

I'm sure everything will fix itself soon but just keep an eye on it 😊
