Has anyone had AZ first jab and the. Pfizer second jab? Do you get a passport then to travel the same as if you had them both the same brand?

My doctors wasn't sure and said I'd have to ring 119 to find out from them for sure and to book a second jab (my first was back in February/March) but thought I'd ask MN brain first rather than clogging up 119 Smile

My first vaccine was AZ second was Pfizer.

I have a travel passport on the NHS app.

Iwannabelikeyouohh · 11/10/2021 13:58

Also what do you mean a second jab?

Haven’t you already had two jabs?

PersephoneJames · 11/10/2021 14:11

I’ve had both (as then Pfizer) and have travelled fine. I have an EU passport so it only shows Pfizer (they show the second one only) but mixing is definitely allowed for travel - at least on the continent of Europe - I had a long exchange with my MP about it all!!!

Perfect thank you @Iwannabelikeyouohh I know who few who had a different second dose but none have yet travelled abroad to see if their Covid pass is ok

Whatever the travel rules, it would be hypocritical if Germany didn't allow it. Angela Merkel had AZ first, Moderna second.

PersephoneJames · 12/10/2021 08:18

Yes it’s perfectly normal in most of Western Europe, in fact the uk didn’t allow it until a couple of weeks ago, but I’m not sure about travel to the us or Asia?

PersephoneJames · 12/10/2021 08:19

I mean the uk didn’t consider Merkel as fully vaccinated until recently

namechangerforthisconfessionn · 12/10/2021 12:36

It's Spain I'm going to, they do allow it according to UK gov website I just wanted to check that the UK Covid bar code pass would work properly or if I'd need to book PCR test as I've not much time if the barcode doesn't work IYSWIM

Yes, it will be fine, you just get a QR code for each vaccine (2 different vaccines here & I've travelled).

Sure, I always mix my cereals, it's delicious! Although the Kellogs aren't as good as it used to, but it's just cereals at the end of the needle, I mean day.
