No PCR test available

Short version- I have a chesty cough and GP told me to get a PCR (I did a lateral flow on Weds and it was negative).

The website only has ones at a clinic which is 15 miles away and I think at least 2 buses (I live in the furthest corner of my borough which is very large).

It says try again in a few hours- likelihood of home tests becoming available anyone?

Can you order a home test?

Get a postal test.

Oh sorry I wasn't clear. It says there are no home tests available and try again in a few hours. Earlier on the site it said home tests are prioritised for key workers.

Yes they update with new tests available pretty often.

Yes - I had to book one recently. None in morning, but few hours later there were loads.

Yes, more postal tests will be released during the day. Just keep checking. 5pm used to be quite a good time to look but hopefully they'll have some available before then.
