Hey all

Covid outbreak in my house.
My boys have done their 10 days isolation but me and DH have tested positive within the last 24 hrs.

My understanding is the boys can return to school as long as no symptoms and have done 10 days isolation.
My DSs was playing on his xbox and his mates mum very clearly said DSs mum has got it wrong their whole house needs to isolate for another 10 days.

Can someone clear this up for me..... Smile

Who has actually tested positive to set off the isolation in the first place? The boys or someone else?

TheNarwhalBalloon · 10/10/2021 12:17

Also, how old are they?

HermioneWeasley · 10/10/2021 12:17

The other mum is wrong. Your kids don’t need to self isolate again

Middle son tested positive first. Sunday night tested, asymptomatic at the start. Four days later other son was positive.
They are 12 and 11.

Under 18s dont need to isolate as contacts so if there 10 days are up then They can go back to school, as long as they can get there without you needing to take them.
