So I'm still not back to normal. I'm exhausted and I can't do all the things I usually do in a day. I have to choose between going to work for 4 hours or being at home walking the dog, cooking and running kids about. I'm used to being extremely active. Doing all of the above and going to the gym, having a social life etc etc.. This is so totally depressing. When am I going to feel back to normal??? I'm in bed now with a banging headache now. I've had a bad stomach and I can't drink anything alcoholic at all (not that I feel like it at the moment) but I tried a couple of weeks ago and it didn't go well. So is this it now???

Anyone else? Anyone had all this and has returned back to a normal life?

I'm trying to get lots of sleep, drink loads of water, take kefir, all the vitamins..... what else can I do?

Yes I had problems after covid. Really thought I would never be the same again. I am now back to normal. Rest, rest rest as much as possible (I know with work and children near impossible). You will get better it just takes some of us longer.

I’m the same six weeks after. Extremely tired, and aches and pains keep coming and going. Have to pace myself very carefully to avoid going backwards. But I am getting better, it’s just incredibly slow. Are you seeing any progress? I understand how frustrating it is, I can’t see when I’ll be able to get back to normal pace of life wmd haven’t felt myself at all 🙁

I had 6 weeks off work with Covid back in Jan/Feb. Struggled with tiredness for a few months after but pretty much back to normal now. DH was in ICU for two weeks at the same time but recovered much more quickly. It’s a very odd virus as it seems to affect everyone differently.
Listen to you mr body and don’t do too much too soon.

It is incredibly slow. I seem to have got worse since catching my daughters monster cold. So that has not helped at all... Just feeling exhausted all the time... I'm hoping by next weekend when the cold has gone more I may feel a bit more alive? I just want to be back to normal. Hope you are feeling back to normal soon x

Sorry to hear your DH was in ICU how scary :( And he recovered quicker too! I have read that the milder the Covid case the harder to recover? I felt like I had a cold when I tested positive for Covid. I didn't have any cough or trouble breathing.. Its v odd isn't it.... Thats great you are back to normal now you are giving me some hope x

I'm 7 weeks in and have been very up and down. I caught a cold off the kids 3 weeks ago and that was fairly down- I've been off work since. The only thing is to rest but keep some kind of activity going. You're not the only one, it's takes as long as it takes and it's immensely frustrating. I thought I'd bounce back after having covid.

Are you vaccinated? Some people found getting vaccinated after having covid helped with long covid

Yes I am double vaccinated! I would have thought that would help but it hasn't. Perhaps it helped me not having it so badly at the time? But the exhaustion and the not knowing when I'm going to get back to normal is torture

Oops bees make honey... I quoted on the message below. yeah its so frustrating... I only work 4 hours a day but have to decide on work or household jobs. I just can't do both and I have to be in bed by 9.... its ridiculous
