Self Isolation - 11 days?!

I’ve tested positive & my symptoms started on Wednesday 6th October. So I count that as day 1 right? So including that day, 10 days is to Friday 15th.. but the track & trace website has just told me my last day of legal self isolation is Saturday 16th. But that’s 11 days?

I’m confused? I mean, I have no plans so it doesn’t matter but I’d rather not be stuck inside any longer than I need to be!

I think the day you got it is day 0 but not entirely certain. Hope you’re not feeling too bad.

The day symptoms develop is day 0

How are you feeling bobhollll? I’ve headache and mouth ulcers and flu symptoms but it’s not down in my chest.. all throat and nose.. are you ok? It’s scary finally getting it..

Yea it's the day symptoms started and the next 10 days after that. So it's 11 days. Just finished mine.

You are correct it is 11 days from positive test or symptoms (only the classic three though). My daughter has just had it and although she was ill in the Friday, due to cancelled test (test centre) and no positive LFT until Saturday the 10 days didn't start until the Monday - her symptoms were a headache and sore throat! Get well soon and our advice would be to rest, rest and rest!

Ohh. So you actually have to isolate for 11 days then.. that’s fine!

I’m feeling like I’ve got a stinking cold @KILNAMATRA , pretty rough & I can’t smell anything but nothing concerning. I do have a cough but it’s mild. I’m quite glad to get it now to be honest & not at Christmas or my birthday later this year 😂🙈 I have young kids in school & nursery so it felt very inevitable. I had it last year as well, interestingly I’m more ill having had the vaccine than I was when I hadn’t had a vaccine! But I think that’s probably just the different strains going round then & now!

Ok take care, it’s tricky isolating with young children, and all the washing cleaning laundry that goes on.. take care..
