Just that. Everyone else has it so 3 out of 4. Second child tested positive this morning so I’m now the last man standing.

My lateral flows are still negative. I’ve ordered another PCR anyway (already done one last week). But do I just need to accept that this is inevitable that I’m going to catch it here? anyone else been in this position?

We are similar. 2 kids positive pcr. 3rd has had 20 neg lfts and 2 neg pcrs. Positive 2 are out of 10 days quarantine tomorrow. How is it possible if its soooo contagious. All 3 are always together.

Yes. I feel like a sitting duck tbh. In a way, if I’m going to get it - let’s get it over with!

Are you vaccinated? I read one article that estimated that you halve your chance of contracting it if you are double vaccinated

Ilikeviognier · 07/10/2021 19:53

Double vaccinated yes. But so is husband but it didn’t stop him getting it….

Me - I posted on here about it. DC and DH got it and I didn’t, despite me feeling horrific at the same time! We were both double jabbed.

Well if you were feeling horrific, isn't it likely you had it but the PCR was negative anyway. That can happen.

Family of 5 here DH and 3 DCs all tested positive within 5 days of each other but I remained negative done 3 pcr tests and lateral flow tested daily until they were all out of isolation. Strange really as I had much more contact with DCs they all coughed on me and never tested positive?

Family of four here. Two positive; two negative.

We've not seen each other since test day: communication only by WhatsApp between clean/ unclean groups; windows open and rooms aired before allowing access to the "other" group.
Praying that the clean group don't get it and muck up half term.
