How long do PCR postal test results take?

Compared to the drive ins or walk ins?

So if I posted one first thing tomorrow. When would I expect to get the results?

The txt came about 36 hours after the test was delivered to the lab. You can check it through Royal Mail.

I had one last week and it took 3 days to get the result.

Posted the sample on Tuesday, and the result was back on Wednesday early evening. (You can track it on royal mail website. In our case, it showed it was collected from the post box at the last collection, so we didn't benefit from posting it early in the morning.)

We had a drive-in test a month ago. Tested in the morning, and the result was back on the same day.

I posted ours on a Monday afternoon and it came back on the Tuesday afternoon - both times!

We posted ours at 8.30am yesterday, it was picked up at 1pm and delivered at 3.15am this morning.
No results as yet

Next day for my dd. 2 days later for mine (more like 36 hours actually).

I posted two last Friday at 3pm and had the result for one back on the Saturday at 4pm. The other result came through on Monday morning at 7.25am

Last I posted it on Saturday and got results first thing Monday

I posted mine for the last post on Tuesday and got the results very early this morning.

I posted one yesterday morning around 9am, got the result about half an hour ago.
Royal mail tracking says it was delivered to the test centre at something like 5am this morning.

Saturday morning in my experience. Maybe not first thing it probably within 36 hours.
