Do you receive confirmation that postal PCR test received at lab?

Apologies if this has been asked before. If I posted a postal PCR yesterday morning, would I expect to receive confirmation it's been received at the lab? Or is it just a case of waiting for results by email/text? I haven't heard anything, other than (what I think was an automated) email this morning, reminding me to post the test to them, but to ignore the email if I'd already done it. So now I'm slightly concerned it hasn't been received! Thank you.

I didn't, did you take note of the tracking number to check online?

We have sent several postal PCR tests over the weeks and have never rec'd confirmation of receipt only the test results. We have also rec'd the automated email and ignored it. They seem to take anywhere between 1 and 3 days from postage for the result.

I think if you take note of the Royal Mail tracking code before you post it, you can check that to see if it’s been received. I forgot to do this when I sent off a postal text a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t hear anything until the results came through.
I posted on Monday morning and got the result on Wednesday evening.
