7 year old with Covid

My 7 year old has Covid. I know he needs to isolate and the rest of us don't because we're double jabbed.
When my older child had Covid we got her to isolate within the house, staying in her room basically. This doesn't seem practical with a 7 year old. What have other people done? He wants a cuddle, should I give him one?
He doesn't feel unwell.

Hi. Glad your DS isn't Ill with it and is otherwise doing ok. If it was me I couldn't not cuddle my DS. I would just isolate myself and give him all the cuddles he needs. My DS is 6 and we would just carry on as normal in the house.

Both DDs tested positive. All three of us just stayed at home and mixed. I didn't officially need to stay at home, but couldn't exactly go out leaving two children at home...

7yos need hugs.

I’d just carry on as normal. Cuddles, stay together etc. Young children shouldn’t be made to be separate from their family.

I'm off work today but after that his dad will be with him and I'll have to go back in. I think I'll risk it though. I'm doing a PCR.

When a mother is questioning whether they can cuddle thier 7 year old due to covid we have a very big problem.

There is nothing that would stop me comforting my child.

I feel the same actually. He doesn't feel ill at all and we both like a lot of cuddles. I just wanted to check I wasn't being totally irresponsible

My 7 year old had a blast isolating from us! Food in her room, unlimited tv Grin
