Negative LFTs

Hi, we have covid in the house. My youngest has got symptoms so have been doing lots of lft... they are coming up very clear white. Not even a hint of a line... he's been for a PCR and 2 days later still haven't got results. I keep seeing posts on here about how extremely faint positives can be so assumed the unreliability factor was that they are just so hard to read / easy to miss not that they genuinely don't work at all.

So I guess what I'm asking is - have you had a very very clear white LFT and been positive?

dd1 did. I suppose she could have tested positive on one later in the infection but once she had a positive pcr she didn't do another one.

I am.currently very definitely positive with a positive pcr. However, I can get both a negative and a positive lft depending on how I do them. Just up the nose- negative. Big throaf swabs- positive. One drip- negative. 3 drips- positive.

They're very, very unreliable. Which is why they are handed out to schools and I am a positive teacher!
