Pcr results at different times?

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone has any experience of this.

My eldest currently has covid and the rest of us went to get pcr tests done yesterday as required. Two came back at 6am as negative but 1 result has not yet been received - this is the important one as it’s needed to know if they can technically go back to school (even tho we might still keep them off).

Does the fact that their result wasn’t received with the rest suggest it will be positive or do you think there’s an issue with their test? Thank you.

My DH and DS had theirs done at same time but DH's result came back about 2 hours before DS.

They've probably just been seperated at the test centre. I expect you'll get it later today. I've had them back at different times most times I've had to do them

No, they just get separated in the system, thats all

I had a 24 hour gap last year, all negative. Of course it was DS results that were delayed and he was the one with a fever!

Thank you! I shouldn’t complain it’s a really fast service it’s just that it would of course the the one that actually has some importance that’s delayed.

Last week we had two pcrs done at the same time at a drive in centre; one came back (positive) 12 hours later, the other came back (negative) 4 or 5 hours after that.
