Cough started after isolation?

Hi, I tested positive for Covid almost 3 weeks ago, symptoms at the time were runny nose and sneezing. Have had one jab, was due second one during my 10 day isolation so had to cancel it.

During my isolation initial symptoms stayed the same i.e sneezing and nasal congestion. Isolation finished last week and it’s been a few days now since I have started coughing and the cough is getting worse every day. Has anyone experienced similar? Is this the Covid cough or something else?

A friends cough and loss of taste started after her isolation period too so it is a thing. So crap!

Thanks for your reply! Honestly I thought I escaped the cough, but here we are!

Feel better soon!

This is me. Tested positive on 12/9, had four days of headache, sneezing, congestion and now I'm on about day 7 of worsening cough. I'm a primary school teacher and went back the day after my isolation period but now not so sure I should be?

Thank you @sociallydistained I hope your friend is better too.

@toadstool32 sorry to hear you’re in the same situation too. The cough is worse for me in the night and some days I feel better and think it’s gone away but the next day it starts again!

My son had similar. Positive pcr and no symptoms only tested as close contact.
Day 9 lost taste. School said he needed to remain at home until all symptoms had gone.
