Waiting on PCR

So was sneezing on Friday, absolutely convinced it is a cold. But started coughing on Saturday night, but again a cold type cough. Already had a days holiday booked for yesterday.
Was coughing more on Sunday, I work face to face with people so although 95% sure it was a cold booked PCR for first thing yesterday.
Plans for yesterday's day off went completely out of the window. Cough almost gone, but waiting on PCR result. Was told official line 24-48 hours for results, but staff said should get over night.
No result yet, waiting impatiently so I can go to work frustrated.com

Have you had your result? The wait is so frustrating!

27 hours!
Had the email asking for feedback on service 3 hours before that.
As suspected was negative (I'd 6 negative lfts over previous days) but the amount I was coughing on Sunday would have been sent home.
Cough nearly gone today, 5 mins after negative test I went to work
