Covid affect on periods

My 11 year old dd tested positive last week, she's been quite fluey since, today she's started her period for the first time. Surely this isn't a coincidence, I've read about people missing periods after the vaccine but not this.

I would say it's likely to be a coincidence given she's at an age when it's common to start, but would definitely get in touch with GP if anything doesn't seem right.

I certainly found that in about the first ten years of menstruation, I got a hell of a lot of coughs, colds and flulike illnesses just before a period. So maybe it’s not so flukish that that’s when she caught it.

Ive been on contraceptive pills so not had a bleed in 10 years - until my second covid vaccine. Bled for a whole month!! Then nothing since.

My 14 year old has just had Covid. Cycle is normally regular 30 days. Period came 7 days early this month just as she tested positive.
