How long are PCR results taking? - North West

Just taken DD for one today after being a close contact at school. Anyone know how long they are taking approximately at the moment?

I had one a week ago (pinged) at 8am and results came back during the night.

Between 26 and 36 hours for the four my family did last week.

DH had one last night around 7pm. Results were back by 11am

Postal test, posted Tuesday. Delivered Tuesday evening. Still no results. Phoned this morning to chase it up to be told I can't actually have my results because there's a 40 minute queue to get through to the testing centre, and they're not allowed to wait more than 15 minutes on hold Hmm. Needless to say, I'm pissed off.

Im in the North West, i sent off three postal tests last monday afternoon, first result came back at about 11pm tuesday evening, second result came back 7 am wednesday moring, and third result came back after 1pm wednesday afternoon.

Less than 24 hours from a walk through testing centre.

Test was at 9am, got the results about 7am the next day.

Me, DS1 and DS2 went to a drive through site Mon 10am, results back between 4am and 7am Tues

DH walk through appt at a different site Tues 2pm, results back Wed 8pm

DD postal PCR posted off 3pm Wed, results back Thur 6pm

So 18 hours at the minimum, 30 hours tops. This is in Liverpool.

.. have gone through drive through and walk through 6x in last 10 days..( Don't ask) .. Fastest (only positive) was 10am next day after evening appointment and a 8am test back at 1am...
Slowest was 55 hours but most within 24- 36.

Strangely the 2 that were significantly longer than others only had one thing in common...they had a track and trace reference... Different people, times, locations etc.
